AURELIO LOPEZ-ARRUELLA

Aurelio LOPEZ-TARRUELLA is Associate Professor of Private International Law at the University of Alicante (Spain), and Director of the Academic Chair for the Responsible Development of the Metaverse. He holds a Ph. D. in Law (2004) and he was Director of the Iberoamerican Chair on Digital Culture and Intellectual Property (2020-2022) and Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Law (2016-2020). He has been a consultant for WIPO, EUIPO, European Commission and the European Parliament on Intellectual Property and Digital Law. He is a supervisor of the European Doctorate EIPIN – Information Society (Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie Action ITN-EJD 2016-2019) and lecturer in the Master on the Law of Digital Society (U. Alicante), the LL M. in Law of Internet Technologies of the Università Bocconi (Milan, Italy, since 2017) and the Master’s Degree Program in Intellectual Property and New Technologies organized by WIPO and the Jagiellonian University Krakow (since 2019).
