Silke SCHMIDT leads the XR HUB Bavaria at its location in Munich at Medien.Bayern GmbH. Her primary goal involves fostering the growth of the XR Ecosystem within Bavaria. This entails creating connections among individuals to catalyze the emergence of novel projects while enhancing the visibility of Bavarian stakeholders on both national and international scales. Lately, her endeavors have particularly concentrated on cultivating virtual realms and promoting collaboration within theXR domain.

Prior to her current role, Silke held positions of significance. She previously occupied a position at theBavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, specifically overseeing “Audiovisual Media-Film, Games, and XR”. Preceding this, she contributed her expertise to the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Foreign Trade Department. During this time, her focus was directed towards strengthening economic ties between Bavarian companies and those from the United States and Canada. Her scope encompassed various subjects spanning from the media, digital, and creative sectors to energy, medicine, mobility, and aerospace
