Co-founder of the “WalChain by Digital Wallonia” ecosystem, born of the gathering of Walloon WEB3 players, and whose mission is to educate and promote the use of the decentralized web (web3) as an innovative tool for building collaborative and transparent ecosystems, but also as an opportunity to contribute to sustainable economic redeployment in Wallonia.
Within the Belgian Federation of Technology Industries, Agoria, Denys participates in the 5G – Web3 – Cyber – XR themes, defending the interests of its members with public authorities and stakeholders, taking part in discussions and formulating proposals on issues that directly or indirectly affect companies in the technology and industrial sector.
As director of a startup Accelerator, he created and managed strategic development plans and corporate relations as part of an open innovation program.
He created and managed 3 SMEs and participated in the development of 2 others, worked in spin-offs of large corporations, international companies and government agencies.
As an independent consultant, he has developed extensive expertise in the importance of data, business continuity management, cybersecurity and compliance (RGPD, NIS), acting as DPO. As a trainer, he has learned and gained experience on how to transfer knowledge and ensure that trainees are able to achieve their objectives.
As an ICT expert, auditor and information security governance consultant with over 25 years’ professional experience, 23 of which in the ICT field, Denys combines solid project management experience gained in large companies such as Sigma Coatings, Belgacom, Belgian Post, Telindus, Getronics and Nethys, with hands-on experience of managing small teams gained through SME ownership and management.
He was involved in a major public project through his assignment to Mons 2015 European Capital of Culture, drafting the digital strategic plan for the city and writing the calls for tender for all digital uses in buildings and cultural uses.
